WHAT IS "FISCAL SPONSORSHIP" AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Fiscal Sponsorship is when a non-profit organization selects another worthy organization/project/person and allows them to fundraise using the non-profit organization's 501 (c) (3) status. This is a great way for entities to be able to receive grants and large donations under the umbrella of non-profit status, without having to be a non-profit.

The Utah Film Center rigorously selected UNDIAGNOSED to receive fiscal sponsorship- that means that anyone who donates $100 or more can do so through the Utah Film Center to get a tax deductible receipt.
